McClain's JV baseball team handed Miami Trace their first league
loss of the season on Monday winning by a score of 2-1. Nick Ary
and Luke Kingsolver struck out 9 Panther batters en route to the
victory. Nick Ary was the winning pitcher picking up his fourth
victory on the season. With the win, the Tigers improve to
10-5 on the season and 4-3 in the SCOL.

Baseball Team handed Waverly their first loss of the season winning
by a score of 9-6. Nick Ary was the winning pitcher for the Tigers.
Casey Jett was 3 for 5 at the plate with a double and two stolen
bases.

JV: The McClain JV Baseball team dropped a heartbreaker at Clinton
Massie last Thursday losing by a score of 8-7. The Tigers had a
7-4 lead going into the bottom of the seventh inning but could not
contain the Clinton Massie offense which rattled off 5 hits in the
inning. The loss drops the Tigers to 4-4 on the season and 1-3 in
the SCOL. Statistical leaders for the JV Tigers: ERA (Nick Ary -
2.59). Batting Average (Adam Hollar - .550). Stolen Bases (Adam
Hollar - 5). RBI (Brian Pitzer, Adam Hollar - 9). On Base Percentage
(Adam Hollar - .679). Sacrifices (Josh Hyer - 5). hit by pitch (Nick
Ary - 3). The 6 day road trip continues for the Tigers as they travel
to London, Waverly, Madison Plains and East Clinton next week.

JV: McClain 9 East Clinton 6. The JV Baseball Team
improved their record to 5-10 overall with a 9-6 victory over the
East Clinton Astros on Thursday (April 28). The Tigers were led
by Troy Wilson at the plate who went 3-3 and 2 RBI. Freshman Phillip
Hughes went 2 for 3 for the Tigers and Sophomore Matt Shelton was
2 for 4 with 4 stolen bases. Shelton leads to Tigers with 21 stolen
bases on the season. Robbie Hamilton picked up the victory
for the Tigers pitching 4 innings and allowing only 2 earned runs.
Tim Clouser earned the save for the Tigers. The Tigers wrap up their

McClain JV Baseball Team continues to roll. The Tiger reserves
are currently 3-1 on the year with three run spread victories
over East Clinton, Southeastern and Eastern Brown. The Tigers
are led by the dean of Ohio JV baseball coaches Brandon Streitenberger.
The Tigers have a busy weekend hosting Washington Court House Friday
and traveling to future league rival Clinton Massie for an 11am
